PL-fonts in Page Stream 5

    Does anyone know why Polish diacritic characters don’t appear in PageStream 5 when I use RAlt+a ("ą"), RAlt+e ("ę"), RAlt+c ("ć"), and so on?
    I have TrueType fonts with Polish characters in FONTS:_ttf/ and I added them to PageStream 5 via:
    File -> System Preferences -> Fonts…

    I'm using the demo version of PageStream 5.1.3 (05.09.22), but I’ve heard that the registered version behaves the same. The software is unusable without support for diacritic characters. :(

    Did you try to insert them via the Insert Character requester directly (found in the Type/Insert/Character...) menu ? Not that this makes it any more convenient, just wondering if it is some keyboard input issue or some generic rendering issue.
    Otherwise send me some PM with more details and we can try to figure it out ...

    Just to make sure, you did click on Update button after having added the font and then the Save button, right?

    If I type word "mądrość" in an external editor, copy the text and paste in the PageStream5, I see correct word ("mądrość").
    However if I write the word in PageStream5, I see text with wrong Polish diacritic characters "m*dro**" (* is an unexpected, random character.

    Now I know that fonts work well. It is a problem with typing characters in PageStream5. :(

    Ok, that is at least something that can be addressed, some locale settings are not injected properly into the input event chain then, most likely some MapRawKey() issue which needs to be fixed...

    I'm planning to finally get some PGS5 update for MorphOS released this year after a hiatus of more than three years if things work out with Deron, feel free to buy me a coffee if you support the idea ... ;)

    I haven’t registered PageStream 5 yet because I’m not able to at the moment (after nine months of unemployment, my financial situation is almost disastrous). :( But once I’m back on my feet financially, I’m definitely going to register this awesome software.
    However, my friend - based on my very positive opinion and recommendation - recently purchased PageStream 5, and now it’s a bit of an awkward situation, because with this bug the program is basically unusable.
    Because of that, I feel a bit guilty about recommending it. :)

    Well, yea, I need to check with some .pl native in MorphOS Team how I can test it ... Maybe there is some way to get it working based on what is already released.

    If unicode input is what you desire, just do
