E-UAE Screen Modes?

    I have E-UAE "running" but I am having some screen issues. I was wondering if anyone can share or compare a config file. If I stray too far away from these settings, I just get a public screen filled with RGB pixels, kind of like one of those images you stare at and some 3D image pops out after a while...

    E-UAE with A500 kick and no .hdf
    G5 "1117"
    Dual 2Ghz.
    Radeon 4550

    My struggling config is below:

    immediate_blits=no
    cpu_type=68000

    gfx_width=320
    gfx_height=256

    gfx_lores=yes
    gfx_linemode=none
    gfx_center_horizontal=smart
    gfx_center_vertical=smart
    gfx_fullscreen_amiga=no
    gfx_fullscreen_picasso=no
    sound_bits=16
    sound_channels=stereo
    sound_frequency=44100
    cpu_speed=real
    chipset=ecs
    #gfx_vsync=true
    fastmem_size=1
    chipmem_size=1
    #z3mem_size=0
    floppy_speed=0

    # joy<n> where n is lowlevel unit in amigaos target. In SDL target it's be the enumeration order.
    joyport0=mouse
    joyport1=joy1

    # overlay display
    amiga.use_overlay=no

    # screen type (accepted values are:public, custom or ask)
    amiga.screen_type=public

    WHDLOpener seems to have a solid UAE that is working better thus far. In either version, I am having no luck with the overlay=true.

    Thanks for the eyes on this.

    My config for A500 WHDOpener

    kickstart_rom_file=PROGDIR:Roms/Kickstart-34.4.rom
    #kickstart_key_file=PROGDIR:Roms/rom.key

    filesys_nofsdb=true

    # cpu settings

    # chipset settings

    fast_copper=true

    # memory settings

    # gfx settings

    gfx_depth=8

    show_leds=true

    # sound settings (sound_output="normal" or "none")
    # (sound_channels="stereo or "mono" or "mixed")
    # (sound_bits="8" or "16")

    sound_output=exact
    sound_bits=8
    sound_channels=stereo
    sound_frequency=22050

    # joy <n> where n is lowlevel unit in amigaos target. In SDL target it's be the enumeration order.
    joyport0=mouse
    joyport1=joy1

    # overlay display
    amiga.use_overlay=true

    # screen type (public, custom or ask)
    amiga.screen_type=custom

    So not much changed comparing to default settings. Works great on my Powerbook.

    Update: WHDLOpener had a nice package for E-UAE in it. I ran "e-uae.sdl" instead of vanilla e-uae and now have the Picasso96 screenmodes installed. Looks like I was just poking around with a basic config when there was a beautiful A1200 040 config just sitting in front of me waiting for me to fire up the SDL version of UAE.

    Anywho, on to TCP...
