If I backup my mos files to an ext2 filesystem will all of the Amiga attributes be preserved?

Are there any filesystems available that can do this or only Amiga RDB with Amiga filesystems?

I am having an issue where I have an ext2 partition made by morph and it works just fine in mos, but when I hook up the usb drive to Linux I get a lot of problems, from inode errors to out of space errors when I try to copy files to it with Linux. Linux can read it just fine.
The only filesystem that I have found to be compatible without any bugs so far is NTFS. I use NTFS-3G on mos and Linux.

In order to have Amiga RDB and PC MBR on the same drive I have decided to create a kryptos file on a fat32l partition and then format the kryptos file with SFS.
I keep getting an error when I try to create the file.
Volume creation failed. Following error occured:
Error creating file.


I tried to make it 120gb. The fat32l filesystem it is 256gb in size.

Any ideas?

To answer my own question, apparently you cannot create a file that is 120gb on a fat32l filesystem.
I switched to NTFS (using NTFS-3g) and it is supposedly making the file now.

I really do not like archiving files to backup.
It takes a very long time.
It is so much faster to just do a copy especially when you need to recover.
:-D

So I now have two NTFS 256gb partitions.
The first one is for SFS formatted kryptos files for backing up.
The second is for sharing files back and forth with other OSs.
The remaining 1.3TB will be used for LUKS and a secondary backup for Linux Mint 17.1.

This is my spare 2TB drive. Very nice that MOS works quite fine with 2TB drives.
If I were forced to use MOS and nothing else right now I would not suffer much.
The only other thing I can forsee as close is the iMac G5 if it is ever supported as I do prefer laptops and/or small footprint computers.
