@Zylesea: Seems that Wayfarer 11.3 has a problem with settings/settings.json. I've the same troubles. V11.2 works with this settings but not V11.3.
If you remove (better rename) this file in your installation, Wayfarer will start but you loose display of your bookmarks (you have to activate new and all other preferences....).

Edit: Wayfarer starts now, shows shortlink, but runs very instable. After loading some pages it crashes.... (all pages which runs with V11.2 flawless).

Renaming the settings hasn't resoved the issue here.

1st I tried a fresh installation of Wayfarer 11.2. If I exchange the binary to th e11.3 binary it fails.
I upgraded my mac mini then and did it the other way round there: 11.3 failed, but if I copy the pure 11.2 binary to the customized wayfarer drawer it works. Somehow the 11.3 binary does not like my 3.20 systems. 11.3 is idle, cpu load is low.the mini is on ethernet, the others on WLAN.

Kind of strange that it is on three of my systems (I skip my 4th for this as that is an Efika...). They are moreor less precise copiesof each other.
With 11.2 it works and eventually that is what matters, though I would like to know what#s the actual issue....

It's infuriating that these Wayfarer issues are not reproducible for me. Nothing of this sort was found in beta testing either. Blindly downgrading components to older ones isn't a long term solution either, but I guess it will come to that. :-(

    Try this:

    http://www.google.at/#spf=1604049285870

crashes immediately, but works with V11.2!

@Piru: Crazy! Here it crashes on all 3 G5. I'II try tomorrow a new plain installation. But I've no explanation why V11.2 works and V11.3 not (both versions are located and started from same location (directory).

Edit: Started it now direct from ISO -> crashes on http://www.google.at/#spf=1604049285870.

People getting into crashes with Wayfarer: please make sure you *delete* any ICU directory in SYS:Applications/Wayfarer. Let us know if it helps. Also, your MOSSYS:Data/ICU should only contain icudt70b.tar. Do NOT unpack it.

    > I am curious for Southern island support!

Indeed. The following release note items read like TeraScale3, GCN1 and GCN2 are now 2D-supported:

    "Devs/Monitors/Radeon
    - Added support for more Radeon chip families, including Southern Islands, Sea Islands, and mobile variants [...]
    - Extended Sea Islands support using newer display mode handling code [...]
    - Updated memory mapping behavior for newer Sea Islands hardware [...]
    - Added "golden register" settings for Southern Islands and Sea Islands GPUs [...]
    - Added support for Radeon R7 240 and additional Bonaire-based devices [...]
    - Fixed hardware cursor display issues on Bonaire GPUs
    - Added PCI Express DMA support for Cayman, Southern Islands, and Sea Islands [...]
    - Added support for six display controllers on Sea Islands GPUs [...]
    - Added DDC register support for Southern Islands and Sea Islands GPUs
    "

This means that there's now an overlap with OS4 (GCN1), so that there're less reasons for using two graphics cards in an X5000.

Congrats MorphOS Team for all the hard work on the new version! MorphOS has always been a great operating system. This is still true with the new release.

Yes, it is great progress. I will test Southern Island cards I have at reach.

With such many inprovements, mainly Mirari support and new gfx drivers MorphOS should be 4.0 now!

    Big thanks to MorphOS Devs!

Same issue as the Wayfarer crash you are seeing. So far, you appear to be the only user affected. I'll be contacting you soon with a link to a debug-enabled Wayfarer build.

Sent you a PM. Is your ENV: perhaps reassigned to permanent storage location? (aka not in RAM:Env)

Downloaded Wayfarer 11.3 from the wayfarer.icu website now and (not too surprising) it's the same as from the morphos.iso. It just does not load content.

As I wrote in mail I found the reason and want to post it here too, if anyone has a similar problem:

Thanks to Jacad, which helps and points me to possible issues with XAD, I begann to search about that.
I found in SYSTEM:LIBS (*not* MOSSYS:LIBS) a directory named XAD, from an older installation of 3rd-party software. A file in this dir was the reason why Wayfarer (and Iris) failed on some webpages.
After deleting (renameing) this dir, everything works as expected.
Unfortunately I can't remember what software has used this dir - think I'll find it out in future....

    @Amigaharry2

This specific Wayfarer crash issue was caused by xadmaster.library allowing "downgrade" of the built-in xadmaster Tar client. The buggy external Tar client 1.10 (SYS:Libs/xad/Tar) would fail to function correctly, leading to Wayfarer ICU code to fail.

While there's a "XADLibInfo" command to list the XAD clients (internal and external), it is unreasonable to expect the users to keep track of the client versions manually. Therefore I've now changed the logic in xadmaster.library going forward: In MorphOS 3.21 onwards, xadmaster.library will refuse to downgrade the clients with older disk based versions. I think this is a reasonable compromise. It will make it much harder to inadvertently compromising the integrity of the MorphOS installation by grabbing bunch of old 68k xadmaster clients, while still allowing expanding the supported compression formats with external clients as before.

TL;DR: With MorphOS 3.20 and prior: You should be careful not to fill SYS:Libs/xad with bunch of random clients, as they can replace the newer built-in clients with old, buggy versions.
