    Video: 3.20 on Mirari

Jaca did an incredible job, it was a packed room and lots of interest. I know a few folks are using MorphOS now thanks to Jaca.

    An interesting presentation.
I'm very interested in how this hardware performs compared to the Apple computers currently used by MorphOS users.

If you will wait long enough, there will be comparison for sure with some of my machines ;-)
But I believe Mirari will do very well.

I watched the entire video! I've been without a good MorphOS machine since my MacMini died last year. I booted up the ibook and updated the to 3.19, but the screen is so terrible, it's not very fun to use. Plus, all my software was on the other machine...

When the Mirari board gets a commercial release, I hope to be able to "clone" the MacMini drive over so I have a similar setup to what I had before.

Of course, it is true that the Open Hardware project has been
developing PPC motherboards for a long time and it is
taking a noticeably long time, but...

    However, the Mirari motherboard isn't
    progressing quickly either.

It would be "interesting" to find out how far the
    "technical" possibilities and development of
Mirari have actually progressed in detail.

For over 9 months now, Mirari videos with
programs have only been presented on
    YouTube and nothing else. -))

Where is the product, actually ?

    Unfortunately

It should compare quite well (looking how X5000 compares to Power Mac G5 QUAD, and Mirari could be like 80% of X5000/020 performance), until AltiVec is used - then G5 would trash the Mirari (and both X5000s as well). But AV-enabled software is not so common.

    Hi,

At the moment there are around 30 Mirari boards in the wild and a new batch will be produced soon. MorphOS 3.20 is being worked on real hard, and the beta`s already run great on a Mirari board. Drivers have also been developed and many of this is done by just a few guys who work hard and know there stuff!

Since we are not a commercial company, there is no need to hurry. When we have board batches available and there are people interested, they will find their way.

So to sum up, A Working product and ready to be produced. Working drivers an a polished MorphOS 3.20 Operating system. Boards running in Netherlands, France, Sweden, New Zealand, Canada and Germany. Being able to create Youtube videos of the milestones above is something to be proud of.
So well done all involved !

    Dave

Unlike Motherboard from Mirari, there are no YouTube videos for Tyche, but

schematic PCB design ( Download ) representations that have even been

    by NXP optimized.

Adding prototypes to the shopping cart until the

finished product is ready will be a hot game.

I'm curious to see who wins the game.

If there is no reason to rush, you can confidently wait

for the Tyche motherboard and enjoy it.

Why would anybody here enjoy a motherboard that cannot run MorphOS is beyond me.

Why they didn't just use the better T2080 / T2081 processor

with Altivec also remains a mystery. -))

    MorphOS can run anywhere

    after pure optimization

When will the Mirari motherboard be available for purchase ?

    When will the ' T2081 ' be implemented ? 2026/2027

Watching a YouTube video can be fun.
