I feel sure André will tell you directly if he would be OK, or NOT, with you continuing his project. André indeed worked on some downcooked Odyssey dubbed Kite that worked as some kind of application backend and had lots of the normal browser features removed and I helped him on that, mostly building it.
The project kind of stalls for almost 3 years now and I'm not sure if it ever gets resurrected really.

Well, there was an extended period of time when getting a new MorphOS version compiled did not seem feasible.

I believe the last major stumbling block was the inability to execute shell commands on MorphOS, which did not work for unexplained reasons.

It works flawlessly with Kite on AROS. (It also clearly works in the standard Odyssey on MorphOS where you can set up custom shell commands to be run if you click on user-defined menu options.)
