Hi, My EFIKA was running MorphOS 2.2 and I was in the process of re-arranging partitions to get ready to install version 2.4. I've mucked things up and now the machine wont boot at all - not even from the USB flash drive with the boot .img file. I might have left two partitions with the same boot priority. How can I get the system up and running again to finish the installation? One of the partitions has a copy of the original 2.2 installation. I think that is bootable. Partition DH0 is nearly empty (it had 2.2). DH1 has the 2.4.iso ready for installing. The Firmware keeps telling me error: error while trying to load or boot.

You should still be able to stop the boot process and go into the SmartFirmware shell. To do this, you can press ESC (I'm not sure is it was ESC, or any other key, as I don't have my efika in front of me) while efika starts its booting process.

If everything goes ok, efika should stop, and show a shell. There you can look for the device SCSI:0 (I think so), in which your USB device will be mounted. You can then boot from there. The boot command syntax was something like "BOOT [Bootfile path] bootfile.img" <- it should be something like efikaboot.img there...

If you have drives of the same priority you can force MorphOS to boot from a certain drive by giving the boot parameter "bd dhx" where dhx denotes the actual partitition you would like to boot off.
Lets assume your MorphOS 2.2 installation is on dh0 you need to type (given the V2.2 boot.img resides at ide 0,0:0 in terms of the smartfirmware.
boot pci/ide/disk@0,0:0 boot.img bd dh1 rds rd 2

Currently I don't have my Efika (or my Peg) around here, thus I am not sure whether this pci/ide/disk@0,0:1 is correct or not (it is just IIRC). The rd rds 2 part just tells to use ramdebug with a littel buffer.
