thanks Jupp3, the drive hangs though, so can't really go to logs because there is no computer action. it reads data, but not music cd's however the files showed up as .wav just what exactly are we looking at with the 1.1 issue? is it the transfer over that ser bus from the cd drive or what, because the mem stick, or ext. usb hd seem to transfer ok enough, for what it is. It would be at best a need system if not for the cd issue!

Hate to resurrect a dead post but I've been doing alot with my Efika, this summer, short of programming, and damn! Someone please explain again if necessary why the efika still hangs the system when a blank cd is inserted into a usb drive? I really was hoping this was fixed under 2.3. Yes I thought... hey, I wonder if I could now burn something? I mean the clock stops, and the only thing moving is the mouse. It plays cd's dvd's (not decoded to speed), but hangs on blanks! Just saying....no airport immediately for mac-mini port, what about combo drives, and copying from a external usb drive valid concern. Chime in
