Hello all,

i am thinking about migrating to a mac mini, due to the big harddrives
that are avaible now.
Somebody got a 2 TB HD Working in a Mac Mini? Some reasons it should work?

Besides that, am i able to boot from USB with a Mac Mini?
If my one and only HD failes, it would be hard to restore...

It's a IDE/pata adapter, don't think you can get 2TB in that physical size/interface.

The largest full size IDE HDD I could find a while ago back was 'only' 500GB, works fine with MorphOS on my peg, but the partitions are quite small as it's a quad MorphOS/AmigaOS4.1/Debian/SUSE boot.

I shall now go check and find out how wrong I am about mac mini hard drives..

i think dIGIMAN speaks about USB external drives, and i see no reason why it shouldn't be supported. It's possible to boot from a usb key (there's a tutorial available on Obligement) so it should not be an issue.

I am using a SATA/PATA Adapter already with a 1 TB SATA drive in my pegasos
and planing to use this in the mac mini.

I just dont wont to run into some hardware limitations of the mac mini which i dont know,
stuck to a 500gb PATA drive or something.

Ok u are right.

I forgot that its no 3,5 inch drive that i can use.
To bad, i hoped i could upgrade.. Well i can only wait for a powermac then.
