Anyone managed to run UAE at reasonable speed, at G3 Peg1? I've downloaded UAE 0.8.22, got 3.1 rom, disabled sound emulation, set proc emu to 68000, ocs, and ran Cannon Fodder. It was slow. It was loading for ages (about 2 minutes), and game itself was slow (about 12 fps). Am I doing something wrong or G3 isn't enough to play old. a500 games?

Most games I've tried runs just about A500 speed on a G3-600 Peg1 w/sound. Make sure you select a low-resolution screen mode (320x240).

UAE was forked recently (thank god). An effort to merge all the changes made by the WinUAE developers back into UAE where they belong.
This version is slightly faster on PowerPC (not as fast as the x86 version though since it doesn't have a JIT compiler). The sources can be found here: http://www.rcdrummond.net/uae/
The AmigaOS binary wasn't very stable on my system though. AmigaOS 3.9 install hung etc, worked great on my Linux PowerBook though. Sadly I was unable to compile a MorphOS ppc binary as there were some compatibility issues with the system headers. I don't have time to dig deeper into this, hopefully someone else with some more time on their hands could compile a MorphOS native binary for the rest of us.
