    Hello,

I have borrowed a Canon DC IXUS V3 for
testing before i buy a DC for my own ;-)

And so fare i'm not happy with it, because it
has PTP (USB) and CF (CompactFlash) and i can't get any pics out of it, i have a
frontpanel that have CF/MS/MMC/SM, that i have connected to my usb port, in system settings they
are all oke, now it comes...
If i plug the usb in the USBSettings i get a message:hub.class"New device 'Canon DC at port1. very nice!" that's oke i thougt... well not..
When i go to USBSettings/Devices i see in "Class" not "MassStorage" or "Hub" but "Vendor" ?!?! I can not change the Vendor settings either, and in "Bindings" it says "None", i don't no either what it al is so plz help me :-) I also i tryd the program PtpDigCam and it says "No USB DC Found" ;-(
Then i tryd the CF and then i get "Warning NAK Timeout" ?!?! :-(
Plz Reply if you have experience with USB!!!
Also.. Does anybody have a DC and use VHIStudio with it ??

I also have a PTP Digital Camera and it works OK with PtpDigCam (well, there are some other features coming up later on and the author is working on it).

The only thing you have to do to make it work with PtpDigCam is first to go in the USB settings, select the camera, change the binding to None (as PtpDigCam has it's own binding), save the settings, wait a bit (sometimes it takes few seconds before the binding is killed) and then start PtpDigCam.

It should at least detect the digital camera.

If you have any problems, I suggest you write directly to the author and send him the logs. That's what I did and I'm still communicating with him to give him feedback with tests I do on my side.

    Hope it helps ;)
