This was an idea to support MorphOS 1.4.x with a newer bundle that contained updated applications and demos/games that are tested on using MorphOS 1.4.2 on a Pegasos II system.

Scouring the web for days and using the original Genesi SuperBundle as an example, I'm asking for what you want to see in a new "SuperBundle" DVD.

    I would prefer an update-bundle. A downloadsite/cd
where you can select which updates to the system
you want to download/install. (ahi, mms, muicon, sounddt etc)

A contrib-cd should come at least with an
EDITOR (still not included in MOS), TCP-Stack, Browsers,
    Email-Programms and Pictureviewers,Songplayer,Dopus4
and all the stuff you need for a productive environment.

I prefer more stuff built-in into MorphOS, including those third party apps that everybody installs, not for me, because thinking on newly users...

About some superbundle-update thingie? Windows update? OS4 update? apt-get? :-/

The SuperBundle II is a good idea, but I hope that it will come with no problems about the activation keys. I still never received the keys for my SB pack!!! :-x

A user-friendly website with lots of Superbundle software for users to pick and choose from would be best. But it would also be awesome to have another three or four CD set in plastic shell like the blue one Genesi produced. Like maybe it could be in a similar red shell. There's a lot of good programs that could go on there, like a Papyrus demo, a Robin Hood or Knights & Merchants demo, Bars -n- Pipes (which never was on the original Superbundle CD set) and it would also be sheer magic if someone got rights to put a TCP/IP stack on there and tweaked it for smooth MOS installation. And AWeb too, tweaked for user-friendliness please.

    ossian1961:

I don't think you get any activation keys automatically for the Superbundle CD set. You have to buy those separately if you want to use more than the demo, like in the case of fxPaint you have to buy it from IOSpirit.

A lot of the other stuff however like MorphEd, Birdie Shoot, SOftware Tycoon etc. should be complet versions right off, without needing any further purchase or key.

I'm looking a lot of commercial and 'free' products/demos/apps.

I know IOSpirit is reducing the price of the FxPaint 2.0, VH1 Studio 6.0, Ibrowse 2.3, and fxScan 4.0 software to 9 EUR. You can
    http://amiga.iospirit.de/index.php?mode=view&obj_type=newsitem&obj_id=42

I have the updated versions of SimpleMail, MPlayer, Apdf, ImageView and few others I've tested on MorphOS 1.4.2/1.4.4.

The main thing is :-o do a lot of testing with these apps and
give users the best experience possible.

I've found a recent version of MPlayer and reviewing how OpenOffice 2.0, Mozilla 1.7.6/Firefox/Thunderbird, and a few other tools might make their way to MorphOS.

A lot of research... but now that Amiga/Pegasos systems have DVD players I have a lot of room to store other 'Game CD' images as well!!!
