There's a listing for 1.5GHz Mac Minis with 1GB RAM for $40 or best offer with free shipping. They took my offer of $30. I think that's a good price. They have 4 left.

Wow, great find. I'd like one for spare or as a secondary machine to be taken to events, but unfortunately this seems to be US only.

It is a good price but it is also worth pointing out that each unit lacks a power supply, which can easily double the cost of a total system depending on where you live.

The device in the photos looks pretty rough and is perhaps more suited for use at home, preferably taped to the back of a monitor so you do not have to see it :-)

Heh, indeed. Didn't take that close look at first... maybe it correlates with the price afterall :)

For me, they're just backup and possibly parts if needed so the AC adapter isn't too great of a concern. Plus I've got scads laying around :) As far as the appearance, I'm not as worried about perfect appearance like I am with classic Amigas. Probably because until I stumbled across MorphOS I was an Apple hater as much as a Windows hater - maybe even more :)

I got my 3 today. As expected, they are in less than perfect condition. Call it average minus - not perfect, not abysmal, say about average school use condition.

On a positive note, they all work and match the advertised specs.

Surprisingly the box included 3 OEM power supplies and 3 DVI to VGA adapters.

So overall for $90 USD including shipping I'm satisfied. Heck, I'm actually pretty darn happy :)

Thanks for pointing out this auction. I screwed up the wifi antennae on my 1.5GHz G4 MacMini when I upgraded the hdd and RAM in it, so I am going to try to get one of these to use for parts.
