Three Days...

    Hello Everyone,

First off, I apologize for the long absence. There have been some rather severe personal issues upon which I had to focus a tremendous amount of energy towards. The main thrust of this issue is that my mother, bless her heart, has become quite a bit more dependant on others after her second kidney failure. Probably more due to the lack of an extended family, the partial care was uncerimoniously dumped on yours truly. In short, I've had to arrange for new housing for my mother (next door no less), moving her stuff, a numerous amount of doctor visits, and an unwilling patient to take care of. I have had zero fun, and nearly no outside contact with the world (let alone MZ, I've not even been able to see my friends that live in town, and my other relatives are avoiding me--because they fear that I might ask for help!!!!)

Anyway, there is some good news about all of this. We are awaiting approval for home-health-care, something that will alleviate a lot of travel and headaches. I have finally found at least one person who will step in a couple of times a week so that I can catch enough of a breather to get back to my normal routine. Still, it'll be about two or three days before "normalcy" can return.

About all the other things: I know that at least one bounty must be paid to the morphup guy (that is first on the list, assuming he hasn't given up or got hit by a bus). I need to go through all the donations, which I've not even attempted to look in in a month... Anyway, more on all that later.

Finally, I would like to publicly thank all of the moderators, administrators, and "power users" for holding down the fort during my absence. Thanks All!

    Regards,
    Targhan

P.S.: I'll be in chat Saturday around noon to take complaints, notes, and any abuse that is deemed necissary ;-)

You just never seem to get a break, do you? In saying that, hope your mother's health improves and that things fall into place for your family again.

Thanks all. My mother should be physically fine; I just doubt that her mental capacity will ever be 100% again. On the plus side, she should be okay for knowning what she needs etc, just that driving and the like are over with.

A lot of things have happened: MOS 1.6 was released, Mozilla and OpenOffice were released.. but we missed the old good times and deleted all the binaries and sources and we have gone back to MOS1.4.5 to have real fun ;-)
