I hsve here a Powermac G4 that triple boots in MacOSX, MorphOS and Ubuntu. The two later OSes are installed on a second hard disk. MorphOS 2.7 boots fine and I have installed it with no probs back on the day. Today I decided to install 3.2 so I booted from CD only to discover that the second hard disk is not recognised at all, no icons on the desktop and no sign of life under Mounter. The ide.device unit 1 is where my hdd is checked, under 2.7 -mounter-. 3.2 simply ignores it.

Any tips or ideas? I can still boot from 2.7 is there any trick to start the install process from there?

Erasing the entire hard disk under OSX and re creating some basic partitions to install 3.2 made no change. Still nothing visible, however booting with 2.7 CD made it possible for the HD to be located. I finished the partioning under HD Toolbox keeping a small hope but 3.2 still do not want to see the drive.

I may end up installing MacOSX on the second hard drive letting the first for MorphOS and linux.

Still can not explain why all this mess is happening....
