My CPU module is fried. Rather than fix it, I think i'll spend less money, and go faster with a G4 MDD. Will my SATA PCI card work with the G4? What about my video card? Will I be able to just plug in my drives and everything will work?

Is your dead computer a Pegasos II ? If so you have to reflash both SATA and video card.

Yes, a dead Pegasos II. I bet I have to use a PC to reflash too! :-)

You can use the SATA card as a secondary (non-bootable) controller without re-flashing.
But the video card is going to need a new BIOS.

And while not required, re-flashing with a PC is the easiest way to mod the video card.

I got the powermac. I partitioned the drive, installed 10.5 on one, and made a HFS partition for boot.img. It recognizes the HDD from my Pegasos II when I boot off the CD. I'm almost there!! I think I need to fix the bootable HFS partition and I should be in business!

It's now booting on it's own. I was using the Pegasos II boot.img :-P and decided to just back up my MorphOS partition and redo the partitions. After I got the right boot.img, everything went smooth :-P

OK. Keyfile received but... my SATA card doesn't work and my USB 2.0 card do not work now. Mac OS X "Sees" the sata card but there aren't drivers for it. Oddly Mac OS X sees the USB card, but when I boot into MorphOS, it disables one of the built in USB ports on the PowerMac. Any ideas?

Totally odd as my SATA and USB cards work fine on my FW800.

By the way. Do you want to sell the Peg mainboard w/o the processor?
