    Hello,

I am interested in trying out MorphOS 3.1 on either my G4 Powermac or my G4 Mac mini. I know the mini will work fine. I did boot off the MorphOS 3.1 CD on the G4 Powermac and it did come up but to a 640x480 screen and no Network. I didn't mess around beyond that because I wanted to see if the old Dual G4-500 Powermac would boot and run MorphOS.

I would like to setup one of these machines to dual boot OSX and MorphOS. My question is how big a partition should I setup for MorphOS? Is 10GB enough to get a feel for the OS or would I need more? I have no specific tasks in mind.

Also would it be a better idea to boot to a separate drive inetrnal or external attached USB or Firewire? Granted the USB on the old Powermac would be slow so a Firewire would be a better choice there.

Any input on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

10GB is largely enough. Lower sane limit is 512MB which was the default system partition size in 2.x branch.
