I have follows the tuts on the net and flashed a reduced rom to my 9200 agp 128mb card and i can run it in morphos and all works fine but i can see the early boot sequence on the mac.
I have not done any resistor moving as the one in the tutorial only shows there bord but i am unsure which one to swap on my board.

How do i add a pic here?

Let me know if your Radeon 9200 3d works ok. Both of my Radeon cards have corrupted 3d and it scatters black and white polygons.. So who knows what went wrong. It only happens on my MDD macs, but not on my Quicksilver.

I have just received a second 9200 agp board this time in green and it has the exact resistors as the tutorial.
Will be doing the chip replacement when they arrive and flashing with full bios.

Well all's not going to plan, got the second one home and flashed with the oem bios, cut the tracks for pins 3 and 11 and moved the mac resistor.
Plugged into the pc and checked with atiflasher all ok, fitted to mac booted and pressed alt for boot selector, scrambled so switched off to try a different flash but now it wont recognize in pc or mac.
will try with a replacement chip when they arrive but might be blowen.
is/are there any fuses on these cards that i might have popped or shall i just look for another one and start again?.

Frankly, I've never had a problem with the reduced BIOS.
And I don't move the resistor, I just remove the one that others say to move.
    So far, I've converted 9000s, 9100s, 9200s, and 9800s.
    All with no problem.

The only card that's been a problem is the FireGL X3 (and we don't have drivers for R400s anyway).

I'd double check to make sure you disabled the right pins.

Changing the ROM probably isn't going to make any difference.

    Thanks,
I checked the pins over and over as i worked for about 5 mins then stopped.
It might just have been a dodgy card.
My first one has corruption when i go into the boot selection screen but works ok in morphos but unsure if this it to do with the resistor of that it has a reduced bios or not.

do you think it would be best to do a 9600, 9700, 9800 and wait for the drivers to be done or continue and do a 9200 as i have a 9000 agp and a 9200 pci

i revived 2 more cards today 1 x 9200 and 1 9250, the 9200 had a 128k chip and was flashed with Retail Radeon 9200, 128, PCI & AGP 2x/4x/8x, 250/200 MHz, 128MB TSOP DDR from http://themacelite.wikidot.com/wikidownloads2 and has 256 ram on the card now here's the funny thing i get 128mb ram in mac os x 10.5.8 but under the pci info of morphos it says 256.
now the 9250 has 256mb ram and a 64k rom chip on it and i flashed that with the Tome 9200, 127, PCI & AGP 2x/4x/8x 250/200MHz, 128MB TSOP DDR now under mac os x it shows as the correct card but need to install the drivers but it shows 256mb ram and the same under morphos.
so as it goes i have a sapphire 9250 256mb graphics card in both morhos and mac os x.
    this is great.
I am have changed the original cards rom to a 128k but it is failing at 1000 on the chips so i think i have to change something to let it access the full 128k rom chip.
and for ยง Doffo i have run quake3 and RTCW on both cards and both games played really well and fast so i am presuming that 3d is working just fine, i will do some more testing with games over the weekend.
    Hope this help to others.

What does Utilities/GraphicBoards report as memory size? And the Graphicsmemory screenbar module?

Isn't that series one of the ones with two separate banks of 128mb that Frank's drivers only supports the first 128mb of?

BTW - I'm using a re-flashed 9800XT and even without hardware 3D support it works pretty good (although, for a different reason, its only supported to 128mb too).
