Should be possible. I had one Mac user tell me that he made a mistake while overclocking his G4 PowerMac and had one of the dual G4's running at a slower speed than the second one.
He suggested to me that instead of using a single G4 CPU board in my dual G4 PowerMac, that I could just lower the speed of the second G4 CPU as much as possible to reduce heat production.
Personally I am still going to use my single 1.25GHz G4 CPU board in my dual 1.25GHz G4 MDD PowerMac and over clock it to as fast as I can go while still having a stable system for running MorphOS on.
There have been users who have reported overclocking the 1.25GHz G4 all the way up to 1.67GHz while still running stable. Even if I can only get mine up to 1.5GHz, that will be acceptable to me.
MorphOS - The best Next Gen Amiga choice.
