Posting from my usual ignorance :-D
In the past two months my PowerBook have had a stability issue when waking from the sleep mode. I feel it may be a software rather than a hardware bug. The system has to be restarted from sleep which is not a problem since the (5,8) is used only for surfing the net. My concern is how 3.0 handles the sleep mode?

My MINI has a kernel problem on OS X but the Morph side on my dual boot is fine. :-)

    Hi Osco

One thing I have learned is that Mac's are notoriously picky with memory. If there paired they must be the exact same kind and kernel panics are generally from bad memory.

Try different memory and you might be surprised...

I have seen bad memory cause updates to fail at the exact same spot, and run normal other times. Leading to believe that software was the issue. Swapped out the memory and voila works perfect.

    Good luck!

I think in the Powerbook case it is OS X problem. The memory is paired and new. With two 5,8 and six different memory sticks to interchange it would be an easy matter to check. As in the case of the dual boot Mini, the Morph side works but the Mac side has intermittent start up issues. Sometimes it boots sometimes not. My mini boots into Morph first :-D

Went back and reread Fab's post on 3.0 and 3.xx about features 3.0 and to come.

It appears that my first install of 3.0 on the Powerbook will be NON dual boot.

    Changed to

    never sleep in charger mode

     :-D :-D

Is it planned for the future or no way/no interest to have it?
