    I was able to visit the Post Office today and had 4 or 5 packages waiting for me there, so it was almost like an early Christmas for me, opening up so many packages and almost all of them MorphOS related.

    First package was my wireless PCMCIA/Cardbus NIC. It is a Netgear WG511T and is supposed to use the Atheros 5000 compatible chipset.

    The second package was my dual 1.42GHz G4 CPU card for my MDD PowerMac, so I can upgrade from the dual 1.25GHz G4's.

    Third was a pair of 1gb RAM simms to boost the amount of total RAM for my G5 PowerMac. This will give me a total of 6gb RAM.

    Fourth package was three replacement batteries for my G4 & G5 PowerMac's.

    Nothing terribly exciting, but since I have not been able to walk for the last 10 days, just getting out of the house is exciting for me. Now if I can only stand up, or sit long enough to install all these items and play around with MorphOS, I will be a lot happier.

    Hey Dave

    Fun! Wonder if there is a way to get an Atheros chipset wifi card for my Peg2??

    Hope you are feeling better. At least you have your amigas and stuff to keep you company

    Well it's strange to me that we don't have an 'official' list of Atheros 5000 chipsets card compatible with Morphos 3.0. (I suppose all are but a list of reliable one would be nice)

    It should IMHO being added to the compatibility list of supported HW before the release.

    I am sure the MorphOS Dev. Team will add a list of tested wireless NIC cards to the hardware compatibility list on their site, but not until after the release of MorphOS3.0.

    Also, since there are so many products that might be compatible and the Team will only buy and use a few of them, they will need other members of the MorphOS community to report back to them which other cards have been tested and confirmed as working. We can't expect the MorphOS Dev. Team to do all the testing of every Atheros 5k wireless NIC card. They have better things to concentrate on.

    @osco,

    eBay is where I got my wireless card and it arrived quickly at a low price. I wish I could test it.
