I just got it home and I am setting it up right now! It also has a DVDRW and SCSI card. This is going to be a lot of fun.

Any word on 3D support doe the Radeon 9800? Beta drivers maybe?

    -EDIT-
Fixed typo, paid $100 and not $10.

    That is a great find!

The SCSI card won't be supported by MorphOS2.x (yet) and I think the 9800 video card will only be supported with 2D, not 3D.

You would have to ask the MorphOS Dev. Team directly about the possibility of testing any beta video drivers, but I wouldn't get your hopes up on that being granted. I think they have all the beta testers that they need/want.

Let us know how your installation of MorphOS2.7 goes on that $10 system.

    I did a typo, I paid $100 not $10.

    Thanks for the advice.

I have a similar Powermac, works very nice. But I use a Radeon9000pro 128MB in it. I did pay a lot more for it... good find !

Nice score indeed. I have the 2Ghz version of that Newertech upgrade. Morphos seems to work ok with it, although occasionally it seems to get stuck on boot. If you feel inclined, overclocking is very easy with these boards - I'm testing mine at 2.13Ghz (the fastest it will go without modifying the board) at the moment. Just for fun because what other point is there? ;)
Also i've replaced the two noise generators on top of the heatsink with one quiet Noctua 92mm fan running at full speed. Much quieter and heat doesn't seem to be a problem.

Power Supply was bad, had to convert an ATX power supply. I'm downloading 2.7 now, may not get a chance to play tonight. Oh well, after work tomorrow.

Did you get the ATX power supply to fit into the Digital Audio's case? And did you use a 24 to 20 pin adapter to make the re-wiring easier or did you just move the connection pins?

The ATX power supply fit into the Digital Audio's case perfectly, no problem. I did not have any 24 to 20 pin adapters handy, so I took a spare ATX power supply and cut off the 20 pin adapter and used the connector from the Digital audio power supply. The pinout is different, so I had to re-wire. The computer works like a champ!

    Hi Red

Didn't know you were over here now also.

Good find on that machine. The only thing I don't like about my mini is the lack of uprade possibilites, apart from crazy oc with removing resistors and faster bigger HDD and more ram.

    Have fun with the machine
