I was given some good advice in another thread and thought I would pull problem into another thread.
I tweaked my screen to 1120x832 80hz to relieve eye straing on an eMac. I messed around with the clock settings and got it set up perfectly. But after admiring how good my new MorphOS 2.5 and the ProPlus pack upgrade looked I thought time to reboot.
Now all i have is a black screen after the normal boot splash screen. Now I think I know what I did, replace the standard 1280x900 and changed to new resolution which was working.
Any ideas how I can change it maybe with a early boot key sequence. Cannot do anything at moment without maybe booting from boot CD again.
Press F1 during boot to access boot menu (or add the option BM to boot options). In the menu, you can select some standard resolutions that will be used when booting.
If you correctly followed fab's advice then you should get a boot menu *before* the splash screen. Inside this menu, you can select some standard resolution to use for the rest of the boot, overriding your flawed on-disc config.
If the F1 key (or some mouse button I can't remember, maybe the left one) doesn't work for you then I fear you must use the BM (BootMenu) boot argument. So, go to the apple openfirmware prompt and manually boot morphos adding this "BootMenu" or "BM" (they are aliases, without the quote) option to enforce the display of the boot menu.
