After reading about the 256mb Radeon 9250 flash, I've been wondering about the 9000. Has anyone heard of a 256mb Radeon 9000 being successfully re-flashed for a Mac? Since those cards are 4x AGP, we wouldn't have to go to the trouble of taping the card edge connectors.

I think the better idea is flashing 9250 and 9200 at the moment, and in the future 9800 Pro and XT when usable in 2D and 3D in MorphOS.
(ati 9000 Pro is more powerful in 3D then 9250 and 9200)

Yes, I know the 9000Pro is better than the 9200 or 9250 (for that matter the 8500 was better than all three), but my 9000 only has 64MB (and I sold my last 9800 years ago).

    @Jim
sorry, I have never seen gfx Ati 9000 and 9000 Pro with 256Mb vram, so no idea ...
I think It could be useful find new graphic cards AGP 256Mb (es. 9250 e probably 9800 in/when supported in 3D in MoprhOS).

(Probably also It's not so easy at the moment find new ATI 9800 cards).

    regards

    Well, according to german ebay
    eBay Shop - CM3 Computer
    sells several Radeon 9xxx.

Don't know if the pictures provided are the right ones, but according to them some of them even have the correct AGP keying for a Pegasos.

    But as they
    a) need additional power
    b) have active cooling fans
    c) and no 3D drivers for MorphOS yet
I didn't bother to follow it more closely.

The last Radeon 9700 related card I've got is a FireGL card that uses the same silicon (as the 9700), but requires slightly different drivers. It's unlikely that card will ever be supported by MorphOS.
As far as I know, all 9200, 9250, 9500, 9700, and 9800 cards are 8X AGP (so they require taping two edge connections to work in a 4X slot). 9800s (especially the 9800xt) go for a premium on Ebay (in the US) considering their modest performance (by today's standards).
It's a shame we don't have a platform that supports PCIe video cards (they're cheap).
    I just bought an X600 for $5.00 and an HD3850 for $40.00.
