Just wanted to ask if it's likely that the G4 Mac port will support the use of Creative Labs Soundblaster Live PCI cards on the Powermac?
The cards work on the Pegasos, so it shouldn't be too hard to get the to work on the Mac. Since there's no Mac OS driver for this card we would have yet another advantage over Mac OS.

If it works on the Pegasos, it'll work on the Mac as well.

Thanks. I should research these questions before I post them. Looking at previous posts, I'm not sure that the SB Live will be all that useful (since few apps make use of it). I was hoping that MorphOS itself would use the card for sound output.

Of course MorphOS and applications will be able to use an SB Live, that is exactly what the AHI driver enables.

all Soundblaster Live! cards are compatible, usable with MorphOS 2.x and Pegasos2 G4/ PowerMac G4, or I need to find a particular version or revision ?

    thanks
