First, the good news-I got my Efika working, yaay!!

I found a USB stick that it seems to like (reads it from OF) and put the MOS 2.4 install image on it from morphosteam.net.

Last night, I followed the instructions and it booted right up into MOS! So I followed the installer instructions, trying to get the install iso from the site URL provided in the installer's default path, even setting it to not download to RAM:. I only got about 25 Kbytes/sec transfer, and that would have been fine-except that MorphOS times out-and slows waaaay down-before the image can even get downloaded! I got to 73 percent by leaving it overnight, but then of course the server timed out or something because it stopped loading.

Is there a way I can get the actual MOS 2.4 ISO, put it on the USB stick and go that route instead? The stick is 2GB, so lots of room there.

The other error I encountered today is that I'd type boot scsi0: morphos-2.4-efikainstall.img at the OF prompt, then get a series of capital R s printed out, then 'error: network timeout' which didn't happen last night. Nothing changed in terms of my LAN, which worked last night.

Not sure what to do about the network timeout thing. Any suggestions?

You can download the .iso from here. Just do it on any other computer.

About the "RRR problem" - never seen something like this. Have you tried copying efikainstall.img to the stick once again? Or unplugging the Ethernet cable?

The fastest method is always to have the installer boot image and the very iso image in the usb drive.

About the key printing issue, try downloading another installer and/or reformatting the usb drive. Seems the elf is somewhat corrupted.

BTW, If you can try and external usb hdd instead of a usb thumbdrive. maybe its rewarding, as the hdds seems to be more efika friendly.

    Wow, thanks guys!

Downloading the OS iso right now. I did try unplugging the network cable, but still had the other error. Also trying reformatting the USB stick. It's a 2GB Sandisk, but when you insert it into a computer it always seems to have three partitions on it which no Mac or PC seems to want to remove. So, when I get MOS going I can reformat the stick using MOS' disk tools and have it all one volume to make things easier. I hope..
