    Hi

    One of the Polish MorphOS users has a serious problem with his Pegasos II G3/600 MHz (OF 1.2). Here are the symptoms:

    - it started when his Pegasos refused to work after reset (black screen, no monitor/disk activity, no OF prompt, keyboard doesn't work).
    - further resets and unplugging the ethernet cable did nothing.
    - unplugging drives, removing and re-inserting memory didn't help too.
    - changed the battery, PSU, and swapped some other memory chips with no effect.
    - graphic card seems to be OK (tested with success on a PC).

    here are some serial logs:

    memory present:

    Anyone knows what could be wrong? Could it be the CPU card (visually it seems OK)?.

    It could be the cpu card it is possible... we have a backup g4 1ghz cpu card for sale if you are interested. You could also contact bplan and hire them to fix it...

    The IDE trick didn't work. We will try to swap the CPU card from another machine and see what will come out of it.

    @magnetic: that G4 CPU card might come handy. When we'll be sure that the G3 is dead we will contact you.

    @thread:

    OK, some more facts - CPU card plugged into another Pegasos works just fine. So it seems to be a mobo issue - what kind of defect should we search for?

    Does anyone have some experience with Ikarus low-level console? Is it possible to do some more tests within it to see what exactly failed?

    oh, and - as for now - bPlan remains silent...

    Cool. BTW G4 makes huge diff with Morphos 2.x 8-)

    Are you using 80 wire Ultra ATA cables? Also, it is recommended to use flat ones.. this may sound silly put did your friends cpu card on your MB?
