I will soon buy a Peg1 and I am thinking of adding some extra stuff on it.

I wonder if there are any TV cards that would work under MorphOS. I do not know if there is any native support but am thinking that -just like linux- perhaps there would be some specific chips that would be supported, so if a TV card is based on a specific chip would probably work. I recently came across a wonderful external usb tv card by Pinacle any chances for similar devices to work via the usb protocol -without drivers I doubt but you never know-.

Any sound cards? I have read that many of you have plugged SoundBlaster Live cards.

Please share some info or guide me to similar threads.

    Thanks!

Yes, there are. But thanks to Articia S, overlay functionality with a PCI TV card is only possible using a PCI graphics card.

Yes, you have to take two things into account: the chipset and the tuner. Both have to be supported, see http://visionary.cybergraphx.de .

If you want to add some extra stuff to your Peg1, i would suggest you get a USB2.0-Card, because the board itself only contains 2 USB 1.1-Ports. And hopefully, with the coming MorphOS 2.3-Update all problems regarding USB will be fixed.

A SBLive is nice, it has a better quality regarding the sound. With the onboard sound, it's the only soundcard supported under MorphOS (on the Pegasos).

If you are interested in connecting SCSI devices (e.g. a flatbedscanner or a backup-system) , a SCSI hostadapter would also make sense, there are a few models supported, mainly with Symbios 8xx chipset.

going back this post, is it possible to use any usb tv tuners? pinnacle was mentioned and I have a 801e SE 1102 HDTV. couldn't locate the chipset or support, but is there a program, or a work around, and as for poseidon binding it and something like visionary v0.24 picking it up? Maybe I misunderstand the concept, but I'm just thinking ahead to a morphos macmini implimentation.

A kind of support for USB TV Card will be GREAT!!!!!!

If a specific chipset is supported via USB then I will sure buy the hardware.
