    Hi all,

    I've been learning about creating DVDs (movies with menus not data) so I can store recordings from my DV camera but I also want to make data DVDs.

    Before I go and buy a DVD writer, am I correct in saying I can't get a SATA drive but I should look for ATAPI because my Pegasos 2 is ATA-100 ?

    I ask, because I'm trying very hard to find a drive that is not region locked : my DVDs are mostly region 2 but I have several from region 3.

    Hi,
    yes, you need an ATAPI model.
    But you'll find PC programms to unlock your dvd writer drive ... take a look before buying !

    I know you can install new firmware without RPC, but I don't have a PC to install it with.
