I see there is a list (all be it small) for supported usb hardwaredevices with os4.0.
Would be very nice if such a thing would exist on morphos.
    So compatibel with poseidon.
Only have to make sure it would contain the most important data like:
Brand type kind off hardware etc..
Maybe after a while it could be uploaded to aminet?

I don't know if we need that kind of list as we don't have similar problems with USB like on OS4 ;) So far all USB devices I've needed (and which should work in theory) have worked.

But OK, it might help to find if some hw is compatible with common standards or does it need non-standard drivers etc. Manufacturer doesn't say it always too clearly :)

There is a generic compatibility list at the Poseidon's home page:
    http://www.platon42.de/poseidon.html

It's generic, but useful enough, since, as already stated, if a device
respects the supported standard, it will work no matter the
manufacturer. Poseidon is very good in this regard. Sadly sometimes
the devices are not perfectly standard compliant (many wheels/pedals
for car driving simulations won't work, because hot HIDD compliant -
Thrust Modena 360 is known to work, for instance).

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

I just recently purchased me a new mp3 player.
I had to go back to the store and swap it 3 times to get a working one with morphos.
Seems these kind off things are getting more and more windowsonly.
That's why I would like such a list to exist.

Making a list of hardware that works with MOS 1.4.x, with a version of Poseidon thats close to two years old now (which sucks), with various versions of broken uhciusb.devices or even more broken ohciusb- and ehciusb.devices? Most users don't seem to be able to send in an errorlog or Devlister output, which isn't close to "real" bugreport.

Why do I have the feeling that building a list of working devices not a good idea in the current situation...?

Like you pointed out the Morphos 1.4 version is a lot older than the current Amiga-Version, so even if I had a problem with poseidon I may would not have contacted you thinking: maybe its already fixed and if not I could not even test a new bugfixed version an Mos 1.4

samsung mp3player YP-U2/U2R 1 GB works 100% with the massstorageclass from the 68k latest poseidon release.
I know it ain't recommended to mix these but it works ok.

I've bought iRiver T60 / 1GB, play: MP3,WMA, OGG, ASF, has also FM
tuner and recorder. After upgrading firmware to newest it works with
    Morphos 1.4.5 without any problem.
