Does the board really work under Linux yet?

Yes. I think so. They plan to release it with Crux.

It would be very cool with MOS 2.0 for every PPC board out there but first I want to see an release for Efika.

Let's assume it works. Jacek, could you please do an estimation of the tasks to do to get MorphOS ported to this new, but similar, computer?

I have no idea what drivers would be needed so that question is not
    for me really.

some reported that Crux on Sam was quite unstable.

Anyway i don't see any interest in porting MOS on Sam, the board is too expensive for such hardware.

MorphOS 1.4.5 does not support Efika.

Does it already give 3rd party operating systems access to 3D (or even 2D) graphics acceleration? At least hardware volume level setting, yes?

    ...

    didn't think so.

    Well?

    >Does it already give 3rd party operating systems access to 3D (or even 2D) graphics acceleration?

For now you could try to use the six idle 3.2 GHz SPEs for acceleration.

    >At least hardware volume level setting, yes?

    *shrug*
My speakers and headphones have their own volume control.

MOS can cope well with just 200 MB and the potential market will
be XX mio. units next year without being obsoleted anytime soon.

I think that board price-features ratio is not as good as Efika1 and Efika2 will probably be even more interesting for MorphOS.

I would prefer running MorphOS on old G4 Macs rather than that underpowered and expensive board.
