I think that I am unlucky (again!)...

When MorphOS boots up (on the open firmware screen), before the MorphOS logo, on top of the screen I see always some flashing characters (different colors). I haven't seen them before, but my system runs normaly (I want to believe). Any ideas what these colorful characters on top of the screen are?

this stuff is normal, no need to worry about. They always show up when there is no bootpic (which maybe is not normal 1).

    regards,
    tokai

    1) probably u use a MUI4 beta which is know for fucking up bootpic stuff. sometimes it helps to resave Screenmode preferences in system settings after making some fake/dummy changes on ambient screenmode.

Yes I use MUI4 (the last beta version), but you said that they always shows up when there is not bootpic. There is bootpic (if you mean, the MorphOS logo, butterfly). But I am curious because this is happening the past 5 days, and I have installed MUI 4 a month ago!!

    Hi Phantom,

    Tokay is write.
    It's MUI4 the problem.
You changed something last days on prefs.
To avoid this problem, you can change the ambient resolution and save. Then, reopen prefs and take back to your normal screen resolution.
By saving Prefs on this way, the bootpic will go back just fine.
