Could you please tell me if it is detected as an USB Drive under MOS ??

I'm using SE P990i with MOS quite good. It fails to work with linux, but with MOS works perfect.

M600i and P990i should work fine in linux with kernel 2.6.18 (as a usb storage device)

What about the K800i???

M600i works perfectly under MOS as USB massstorage device (except when conneted to my USB2.0 ports, but that't because of the primitive driver).
Had problems with Ubuntu linux, can't remember kernel version though, nowadays have replaced Ubuntu with Fedora Core 6 and everything works fine.

If I remember, I'll test a K800i tomorrow and tell...

Great to here. After reading some comments in Linux and Mac Forums it seemed, that it wouldn't work. I also read that under Windows XP you would need to install drievrs to mount as an usb drive.

Some more questions:

1. Which Firmware version does your Phone use ?
2. Did you have to do any special settings in Poseidon or did it work 'out of the box' ?
3. I have all my MP3s encoded with a variable (!) bitrate, maximum 320 KBit/s, joint stereo.
I wonder if they can be played or if I have to encode with other settings.
4. Does it have a 3.5 mm connector or at least an adapter to use generic headphones ?

I dont have the phone but no problem playing vbr files in Aminet Radio or another mp3 player...

BTW, have you switched the phone in ^->connections->USB to file transfer. It might be set by default to phone mode. So as we have no OBEX support in MorphOS it will not work.
