I got the Peg2 I had ordered today...

It doesn't seem to work though. Black screen. The speaker doesn't make a biip... and the harddrive doesn't spin up.

    I've tried 3 different graphics cards (7000,8500,9250) and 3 different DDR266 bricks.

I've tried disconnecting all unnessecery components/wires.

    I guess it's just my luck. A defective mb/cpu.

Hi, could you send us an email with a few more details. :-)

If the board is not working it will be replaced or repaired, but before you send it back let us try to troubleshoot the problem.

OK? Thanks! We are standing by...

    R&B :-)

Did you try looking at the serial debug-output ?

Please make sure the CPU card is well seated.

New boards and new connectors are always a bit snug.

After that, well, check the serial debug output. That will tell you if it is dead-dead (i.e. no output), if something is merely seriously wrong (it will say "IKARUS low-level console" and a give a prompt) or just what exactly is "failing" during the early startup process.

Do not forget to check a different PSU. Power supplies are sometimes probelmatic. Even if they pretend to provide power on some maschines, they can fail on other maschines.

Really nice to see that Genesi is willing to help and offer repairs/replacement. Not like some other company I know about :)

When my MicroA1 suddenly died it wasn't much more I could do about it with Eyetech being unresponsive and all.

I will send you (Genesi) an E-mail with all the details.

    To the other responses:

    - Tried 2 different PSUs as well.
    - I'm pretty sure the CPU is well fitted in the CPU slot.
    - What software and settings do I need to use on the (ahem) PC to get debug info from the pegasos serial?

Personally, I've used Tera Term Pro on the PC (link).
