The only issue im having now is that when I install MorphOS straight to the SSD, the mac will not boot from it at startup.. Am I missing some options or settings while installing? Yes the card is detected as a Wiebe.

    ******************Update

It is infact Bootable! :) So when I power up it shows the folder with the blinking ? and Folder icon.... But wait about 10 more seconds then the computer finally boots up into MorphOS. :P

Wonder how I can get it to recognize it faster or if it is the card itself being waited on?

    Any ideas?

OF tries to boot most likely from another device. This is easy to verify: Boot to OF (hold Command - Option - O - F when you hear the chime), type printenv <enter> and find boot-device row, if it's correctly set to boot from the SATA drive it should say something like (depending on your configuration): boot-device pci /WiebeSATA3512@15/@0:5,\\:tbxi hd:,\\tbxi
I'm not expert with OF commands so can't help if the boot device is not correct, one way is to detach all other hard drives and do a fresh install to the SATA disk, then the boot device should be set correctly.

    Doffo,
    Quote:

Here is what I did to get it to flash:

1.extract the wiebeflash file to your desktop.
    2.Open up a terminal shell
3.Give yourself super user by typing 'sudo su' along with your account name
4.Now, use cd for change directory until you are in your wiebeflash folder
    ex: /Users/asdfasdf/Desktop/wiebeflash/

5.Now, DRAG the FlashTool to your Terminal window, then press ENTER (Trying to run it by typing in the name doesnt do anything, unless I missed a command)
5.Follow the steps and be sure to flash it with the FIRMWARE for mac compatibilty
6.reboot, then check system profiler if it is listed in the PCI cards. :)

Done and working! The SATA card is now autobooting in my MDD! :-)

    Way to go Red.
Never bothered to do this because I hadn't been running OSX.
What revision is the minimum for running the Flashtool utility?

    Jim,
OSX 10.2.8 or higher is required. I speficially bought a cheapo 2nd hand G4 powerMac because i din't have a working PPC OSX install anywhere. Now I did the deed, I have a cheapo G4 PowerMac for sale :-)

Thanks, I have a copy of Jaguar sitting around I could install temporarily for the flash.
I don't have much use for OSX.

Well, the SATA is acting up again, I thought it was weird. My audio programs seem to halt when playing music from the SATA drives. I tried to copy a file from PATA to SATA and Ambient crashed/locked up. I dont know anymore!!! :-o

My problem went away after that wiebe firmware. Havent had any issues transferring. Though I only am using SFS and kept my partitions under 120GB.
