How to use big harddrives?

I want to use a 2TB harddrive (SATA) in my Peg 2 but when I create the SFS partitions with Hdconfig it says that partitions from ca. 1.5TB on are out of reach and cannot be created. Upto there I can create partitions each below 128GB. I played with different blocksizes but it does not help to get more partitions, so 25% of the drive have to stay unused. What can I do to use it completely?
I also tried IceFS to create one single partition but it failed in any case. For the whole drive to be a partition it cannot get beyond 0% (even after more than one hour) and for a small partition with only 500GB at the beginning of the drive the same.
Then I trieed to make a NTFS partition with ntfs-3g but could not do more in Hdconfig than switch from RDB to MBR. It is not possible to create a partition.
Any recommendations? How do you usse your TB drives in Peg/PowerMac?

I simply do not use any TB drive in my Peg!

I am just using a 16GB Flash drive for everything I need.

Musik and Videos come from the net.

I hope anyone else besides me is using TB drives in their MOS machines as these drives are standard sizes for years now. Otherwise I see Hdconfig stuck because it does not allow me to use them. Wouldn't make sense to me to install the drive in another computer, boot this up, establish a network connection at first to access data instead of just using the internal drive.

    Hello,
I use 2TB sata drive on a NAS with SMBFS.
I think it the best way if you have more than 1 computer.
    Download : ~7MB/s
    Upload : ~0.1MB/s (3.5-4MB/s with FTP)
    PowerMac 3.5, G4 1.0GHz DP, 1GB ram, 80GB HD + NAS, Radeon 9600 128MB Mac, 1680x1050
    PowerMac 7.3, G5 2.3GHz DP, 4GB ram, 160GB HD + NAS, Radeon 9800 128MB PC, 1680x1050
Amiga 500+, Vampire 500v2+, HxC Floppy

If you absolutely have to do everything under morphos, I really do not know how, but , I imagine , you could set it up under windows or macosx as ext3 (or ext2) and then use it under morphos properly. Hope that helps.

Amiga protection bits and file comments are needed for my files which ext2/3/4fs does not support, so it is out of question. This is why it shall be a native solution.

This will not really help you but I use a 2TB HD in my Peg2. I did setup it using HDConfig and I had no such issue. I have one partition crossing the 1.5TB border you are mentioning. And HDConfig can still create some more until the end of the disc.

The only bug I found is in Linux... I don't remember if it's a sign bug or an overflow but its RDB code can't handle partitions located beyond 1TB. Not that I care much...

Which harddrive model is that? What exactly did you do on HDconfig? Did you create just one single 2TB partition or several? If several: how big are they? What blocksize do you use? With what filesystem? Did you get negative numbers in geometry window?
Do you try to access the same partitions with Linux? So I assume you formatted them all with SFS, right?
