    Yooo!

I got a 128MB DoM for the ide which is fully detected by MOS. Also have a compatible PCI SATA card to work with a 30GB SSD drive. Everything is seen by MOS, but once I go to advanced setup to do partitions, it always tells me "There is no HFS partition"

I already made the DoM ide module with one partition with HFS. I had it as DH0 and formatted it with the format tool and named it Boot. Setup the Sata drive with two partitions, DH1 and DH2, and labled them as System and Work accordingly... But even after having DH1 as bootable, it still craps out with the message "There is no HFS partition"

I might be overlooking something, but if anyone has some suggestions, please let me know. 8-)

    Thanks!

What size did you make the HFS partition? When I first did this I made the HFS partition about 55MB and got the same error. When I made the HFS partition the entire (8GB) IDE drive I had no problem.

AFAIR the Boot: partition has to be named just like that an be 64MB big.

I think orginally I just let it autoinstall on the CF-card (no option for you as 128MB won't be sufficient) and than copied system: over to a partition on the SATA-drive with a higher BootPri.

Later I completly disabled the system: partition on the CF-card.

Have done about 100 updates with iWizard since then without a single hassle.

Starting to think there is a size restriction n whatnot. Only thing I can think of doing is taking out the Sata drive, run the installer to even see if MOS will detect and pickup the DoM for installation, so it can at least setup the partitions. Worst case is that I will use the IDE to CF adapter I picked up a week ago and get a CF card to use.

Just went ahead and used an IDE drive to boot and do an install, but now she boots off the sata drive. Though it did lock up the web browser once I started it and went to a web site. Either way, I don't think a Disk on Module is the way to go. Get a IDE to CF adapter and pick up a 4gb card or 2gb so it will at least setup the drive to boot off if.

    One more tip/idea:
Connect the DOM as master to the 2nd IDE-channel (after removing the CD-ROM) or replace the IDE-HD with it and boot from CD.

Copy all that is now on the 1st partion on the IDE-HD to the HFS formatted DOM, make sure that partition is named "Boot"
You also need to deselect the "Boot(A/UX)" option here.

Furthermore you'll need to bless the boot-file again by typing:

    HFSSetMacBoot bootinfo.txt

    Alternativly you might try:

    HFSSetMacBoot boot.img

(blessing both files won't work, it will just use the one you blessed last)

Holding down alt while next boot should present 2 MorphOS options, either DOM and HD or DOM and CD depending on which unit you removed.
