Nice find :-) A quick Google search reveals that the MPX 5030/5038 is an RTL8139 clone.

The RTL cards are a dime a dozen, really, more than any of its clones. But it may be that coincidentally, someone has such a clone card instead of an RTL card in his spare parts drawer, and thus find your finding helpful.
