    Yes, it is. However, I don't see any gfx card mentioned, but if it comes with one and it's a stock one it's either a compatible Radeon 7500 (highly probable) or some incompatible nVidia card (less probable).

    The most recent thread I found regarding this issue is this:

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=8016&forum=11

    So yes, it might be neccessary to replace the Radeon 7500 (if it's in there, that is) by another Radeon card.

    Ok, thanks for the replies. ASs for the gfx, is a matter of find the correct one for it.
    I'm looking for a powermac because they have more expansion options than a mini. The possibility of using my
    catweasel card among others are the reason for one of this machines.

    It's ok for trying MorphOS, but if you want to register it my suggestion is to look for a MDD (Mirror Drive Door) PowerMac: they are much faster (bus at 167Mhz, Ram DDR at 333Mhz, the cpu is a 7455 with 1 or 2MB of L3 Cache, USB 2.0..) and can be found even at good prices (100/150 Euro). Remember that once you registered your MorphOS copy on a machine you can't bring that license on another machine..

    There's a workaround for slowness issues with Radeon 7500 on PowerMacs with MorphOS 2.x (it will be fixed in 3.x). You can set CCEDMA_DISABLE=YES tooltype in Radeon monitor (MOSSYS:Devs/Monitors/Radeon.info) to get things faster.

    Actually same slowness issue would happen on Pegasos1 too, but that tooltype is forced by MorphOS on it.

    @Miky060

    The MDD is a great machine, you are right. But all Powermac G4 are really great machines for MorphOS, IMHO. I once tried it on a Gigabit with 400MHz, and the overall performance was like a Pegasos2. A Quicksilver will be much faster. So even if he'll keep his QS (with a more powerful gfxcard than a Radeon 7500), he'll be satisfied, too.

    I agree that the MDD is probably the best system to run MorphOS2.7 on (until MorphOS3.0 for the 1.67GHz G4 PowerBooks support is released soon), but the older G4 PowerMac's are easier to find accelerated G4 CPU's for, and the older G4 PowerMac itself can sometimes be found for free, or at very low prices, which makes them also good choices. Who would have thought we would have so many hardware choices, if asked that question 6 to 7 years ago?

    Well, i was attracted by the price, not too much hehehe, and because there aren't much g4 mdds at reasonable price around here. The last i saw were sold by the amount of 500 eur more or less.
    I think that 800 mhz should be ok for a system like morphos. Obviously, more power wouldn hurt either.
