    Greetings,

because i was infected with the morphOS "virus" on the amiganoid event in Essen (Germany) a few month ago i recently bought myself a Powerbook on ebay:
    PB 5.9 2005
    17"WSXGA+, 1.67GHz G4, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 100GB HDD, Radeon 9700 128MB

Because i read something about that AirPort will not be supported yet but ath5k based cardbus card will, i went for a Netgear WG511T (2,50€ 8-) ).

So i have a Powerbook and a WLAN card - okay morphOS is missing but thats just a matter of (hopefully few) weeks/month. But is there something else which you would to recommend to me regarding the equipment?

Thank you very much and i cant await installing morphOS!

    Best regards from germany!

    Welcome!
You have the perfect hardware to run MorphOS 3.0, you need nothing more. Maybe an external USB mouse with 2 buttons and a scroll wheel? :D

Thx osco for that very helpfull link.
Very nice service manual and i didn't know that there are such "system-test" DVD/CDs. I will check it as soon i get some blank CD/DVDs.
Btw. the service man. let's me think about disassemble the display cover and give it to a friend of mine to laser a buuterfly into it... 8-)
Regarding the bat.: strange to say, but although it's about 5-6y old i can get about 1 1/2 hrs out of it (ok, ok, no compare to brand new...) but i don't think i want to carry around this 17" brink so at this time ther's no need for a new one. Just wanted to have a nice system for morphOS and i don't wanted to put another display on my desk 8-) for a mini or so.
