@Red,
The weather here is great! Summers in Southern Calif. can be brutal, but living at 7,000ft. above Sea Level, above the smog of the Los Angeles area, the temperatures usually range around 70 to 85 degrees F, and the humidity is very low as well. Lots of people putting their boats into the lake now and going fishing. Some of the brave ones are even water skiing, but most will wait until the lake warms up later in July and August. All the snow melting into the lake all Spring makes it pretty cold until then. We did not get much rain and thunderstorms this May, but might get them now in June. We did get a freak snow flurry about 10 days ago, but it melted as it hit the ground, as it was too warm for snow.
I also am looking forward to MorphOS2.x running on the G5 PowerMac's, but don't expect it for a very long time. If it comes sooner, then I will be pleased and surprised, but having any expectations to get it sooner would only be frustrating. I have already bought my Dual 2.7GHz G5 PowerMac to run Final Cut Studio on while I am waiting for the MorphOS port, and although I don't recommend other people to do this because the prices will only continue to fall, I am glad that I did, as I have already taken the liquid cooling apart and repaired the beginnings of a slow leak of coolant on my system. If you wait to purchase a liquid cooled G5 PowerMac until after MorphOS2.x port is completed (if ever), there may not be many functioning G5's left to purchase by then. Both of the liquid cooled G5 PowerMac towers I have purchased had the beginnings of corrosion due to leaks starting around the "O" ring flanges. I cleaned & fixed them both at the same time.
I am willing to sell 2 G5 PowerMacs that I have, if you are interested. One of them is a dual 2.0GHz G5 and the other is a faulty dual 2.5GHz G5 (liquid cooled) PowerMac. The dual 2.5GHz G5 has a motherboard fault that only sees one of the two installed G5 CPU's, but it still runs and might make an okay MorphOS2.x machine some day.
