Powermac freezes when emulating in UAE (and SNES and ... )

At the first I tought it was my overclocked 1ghz DP cpu running @ 1.2 GHZ but I now have a 1.8ghz Sonnet and it still happens.

It's difficult for me to determine what the problem is. I swapped ram also but that didn't change anything.... is it possible that it AHI together with my Audigy doing this ?

Well... if you have a suspect already, try running the apps without the card plugged in. Random crashes with multiple cpu-gobbling apps could suggest a hardware (cooling?) issue in general though.

I've had problems with Soundblaster Live! and Audigy cards on both Powermac & Pegasos causing freezes. So I'd say it's certainly a plausible suspect.

I would suspect an overheating problem like Jacadcaps suggested. I hope it is not a conflict with the Soundblaster Live or Audigy card.

Did it ever work at any point?
Cannot eliminate software problems till you get it at least working consistently.

I had a lot of problems with ROM files.

I did at one point remove a ram stick that was questionable to get some crashing to stop that was going on when I first got this machine.

Everything else has been software related.
