    A positive note.
I bought a belkin usb 2.0 pci card from office depot and it worked fine with morphos. The chipset was NEC. I noticed that Poseidon was using a nec driver for my onboard usb 1.1 for my power mac g4 quicksilver. I figured a nec based card would work and it did.

My logitech bluetooth adapter and keyboard, numpad, mouse combo works great. The numpad needs the keys reprogrammed but is found.

My Altec bluetooth speakers did not work. :-(

The audio does not switch properly. If I have no hesdset in the 2.5 jack then i get no audio. If I plug the headset in I get audio out of the internal speakers and the headset.

Most of usare using similar USB cards.
I'm surprised and pleased to hear about your success with your bluetooth accessories.
On board audio isn't that great anyway. Buy a Soundblaster Live. They're cheap, sound better, and work perfectly.

Which model of sound blaster live works?
Is there a paticular chipset to get?

As far as I know, all of them work. SD Live, SB Live Balue, SB live 5.1 (the one I've got), and even some of the Audigy cards based on the same chip.

I've got an extra card (a standard SB Live) because I decided to install the above card.

If you or anyone else wants it , you can have it for $5 plus postage.

I don't know why Davey thinks the Envy24 sound better, but the SB Live is a huge improvement over on board Apple sound.

I think, the supported chip (that your SB should have in order to work), is emu10k1.

Those bluetooth keyboards, etc that come with their own microplug work because they act as normal USB HID devices and not as real bluetooth devices (BT is only used for internal communications in this case). The OS itself has no support for Bluetooth and that's why your speakers can't work.

They should all work except for the Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit:

    EMU10K1, as amiades said.

I don't think there's even one single Audigy card based on the EMU10K1.

Yes, it does. But not all Audigy cards have the EMU10K2. With SB Audigy it's even more likely to get a non-supported card than with SB Live in case you don't pay attention to the chipset.
