    Hello folks... I have a non working USB wireless "keyboard", that works perfectly in another very popular operating system, with no specific driver at all.

    Upon inserting the receiver, it's recognized by Posiedon, but not binded to the mandatory HID class. A forced binding fails and, of course, I don't really know what I'm doing when attempting that forced bind.

    Is there anything else I can do?

    Why did I put keyboard inside quotes? Because it's actually this:

    I've had problems with similar devices too. With same kind of remote which has mouse movement and keyboard. And with normal keyboard + mouse combo. With this huge experience I've made conclusion that combo devices don't (probably) work.

    Then I got remote controller which only acts as keyboard, without even trying to move the mouse, and it works like a charm.

    I had a problem with a ps2 to USB adaptor and my ps2 keyboard, it was not recognized. I asked Chris Hodges and he pointed me to the solution:

    My adapter used buggy chips with Vendor=0x13BA and the solution was going to the "Action" tab of the keyboard Hid and adding two extra actions for initial startup:
    1. HID Output Trigger Down, turn on some led like Num Lock.
    2. Misc. Trigger down, flush events

    that did the trick and so far it works correctly.

    It's amazing what a fine piece of software Poseidon is :-)

    This device I have is a mouse and keyboard combination. If I remember it right, it showed just as mouse, the expected keyboard part didn't show up in Poseidon.

    Thanks Jaime for those tips. I'll check them at home over the weekend. Tell be something, please, was your problem also about device not binding to the HID class? Or by "not recognized" you mean it was like plugging in a banana? (What? USB bananas do exist?!)

    @jcmarcos

    Hi Marcos, my ps2-usb adapter allows connecting simultaneusly both mouse and keyboard but for some strange reason keyboard refused to work. The ps2->usb adapter is shown as a single element that uses hidd.class. I can switch between tabs to modify mouse/kb settings. In the keyboard settings I added some actions et voil?! keyboard worked! Thanks to Chris Hodges for helping me!
