Yeah you guys have a LOT of good information and it is greatly appreciated.. Sorry if I offended anyone with my venting... Intermittent issues that become permanent are frustrating as hell...

A few things I am going to look very closely at when I get home (at work right now)

1) I have a 250 watt PSU so I may add some items to load it down a bit more... Maybe a CD drive and a few hard drives. That will add some load to it.

2) The graphics card is brand-new so I doubt that it is bad... (I know it always could be, but gut feeling would tell me something else.) Like maybe the mounting of the card in relation to the slot. ;O)

I have it secure, but it is not exactly 90 degrees to the PCI slot and maybe this is causing issues... Who knows? I will give it a try and will report back later this evening..

About a month ago I started having issues with booting and the times I could boot the registration key kept saying it was invalid. I changed the battery, reset the clock and everything has been working fine since. You may want to try changing the battery and see if that helps.

Hmm, I don't think it is the best solution. 3.5" drives will only load +12 V rail and a bit +5 V rail, leaving +3.3 V underloaded. Using a small PSU targetted at low power devices would be the best. I use small 60-100 W units, or PicoPSU (any version). If I wanted just a temporary verification, I would connect a 0.5 ohm/20 watts resistor between any 3.3V cable and GND.

Checking it in a PC would not hurt however.

If it is mounted to something with screws and the angle is not 90 degrees, it may cause serious tensions. If it is bent a bit, SMD resistors on it may get cold connection. For temporary mounting (before I made a casing) I just leaved it free, but inserted a thick sheet of insulating material between the gfx board and harddisk, so gfx board was parallel to Efika board. Of course for later use I provided a bracket in the casing, the riser is mounted to it with two M4 screws + distances.

OK, followed Krashan's advice and unplugged the PCI/AGP riser and card and made CERTAIN that it was installed correctly and securely and this appears to be the culprit. (I had also tried to run the machine through a Compaq KVM switch but apparently MorphOS doesn't like these things.. It DID work a few times with a different KVM, but the Compaq model does not seem to work.)

So I will not use a KVM at all... Live and learn...

Trying to load the Morph version of Samba but when I launch it it just sits at the hour glass for a long time and then errors out with some hex DLL missing something or other error. (Sorry for the lame error, but it was late last night when I got it and I didn't write it down. I KNOW BETTER THAN THAT, but there it is..)

Indeed, the readme does in fact answer all those questions, and based upon what I have read I will definitely give this installer a try!
