    Hi Dake,

    Where did you placed the sensor please?

    What is the normal temperature for the G4?

    @Serge The sensor is placed at the copper very close to the cpu.
    My Pegs normal temp today is 44C.
    I read somewhere that the G4 can handle 110C for 10years.
    I believe the normal temp with original cooler and noisy fan is about 50-70C.

    Well since this thread got revived I'd like to recommend to all Peg2 g4 owners :

    IF YOU HAVENT CHANGED THE BPLAN DEFAULT FAN PLEASE DO SO NOW, IT MAY FAIL SOON.

    Now is the time for me also to change the fan, should this be ok ? or do i need a higher heatsink ?

    Nice looking cooler!

    I'm no expert, but I think it would be fine providing you attach it properly and with high quality mounts. The standard heat sinks that came with the g4 was rather skinny, but it failed because of the cheap plastic mounts that melted and caused the heatsink to fall off the g4.

    This happen to me twice, so I have first hand experience the issue.
