Something I've always wondered about: There's a small, brown slot at the very edge of the Pegasos II board, next to the CPU slot. Does anyone know what it is? It looks a lot like an AMR port. Is it just a special debug slot, or can something fun be connected there?

AFAIK it's for the second GbE interface on the Marvell.

Thanks for the info. Seems like an awful lot of pins for just Ethernet. Does anything else get routed through there?

Golem is correct. That slot can be used for addntl gig e - we were going to use it with The Guardian - Genesi's network security project...

IIRC the slot can possibly be hacked to use something else, I seem to remember one of the bplan guys saying this but I could be wrong.
