    Hello,

i have got a new EFIKA. I plugged
a Radeon 9250 and 2,5" IDE harddrive to it.

Than i tried to boot from usb stick, but it does not
    work.

devalias says that the USb stick is at hd0.
show-scsi says that there is first the ide drive and
    second the usb stick.

    ls scsi
    ls hd0
    ls hd0:0

    no content is shown :(
I formated the usb stick with vfat, fat32, ext2, ext3
nothing works. I have tried three sticks, same problem.

How should i configurate the usb stick that the partition is shown??
    (cfdisk number??, bootable??, primary???), which
    file system mkfs.???

I really do not know what i can do now, because i have
    tested everything.

    regards

    eliot

Try asking in Power Developer, we have little (if any) experience with Efika, because this is a MorphOS forum, which currently only runs on Pegasos and Amigas.
    What, you've already tried?

try out other usb pendrive. Efika's smartfirmware USB stack is quite good but it doesn't recognize correctly all devices

I have tried three usb pen drives.
They are listed by show-scsi, but the partitions are
    not found.

Should i really have a try with another
    pen drive???

    Ok,

i bought a new usb pen drive today and it worked.
There seems to be some problems in the OF to read the correct
    partition table.
    My be fixed some day?

I bought a pendrive from Atelco (no name) here in
    Germany for 7,90 Eur.
The problem seems not the manufacturer but the partition
    table of the pen drive.
Buy a new one, there you have got a clear partition
    table and everything is fine.
Other solutions (withuot any costs) you can find here:

Isn't there any way of wiping completely the partition table in this kind of device? I understand that the regular "format" command is of no use...

Also, is the USB stack in SmartFirmware something like Poseidon, exactly Poseidon, or something completely different?
