I still think the small priced board concept has a better chance at gaining "critical mass" I believe Genesi are going in the right direction with the Efika2. If the Peg2 had sold 100,000+ boards (Im not sure what the sweet spot would have been) then an immediate successor would have been this... but development costs and market pressures made this an extremely expensive gambe.

Efika isn't desktop computer. What computer will replace your dead Pegasos (long life to your Peggy :))?
We need modern desktop computer. And MOS2.0, of course.
    Pegasos II/G4@1GHz, 1 GB RAM, MorphOS 3.9
    Efika MX Smartbook, Ubuntu 12.04

Yes... the Efika2 is not a desktop system but it is a step closer... Im just not sure what the market would be for desktop PPC right now...and especially a new one that would support Mos 2.0

PPC on the desktop is dead. PPC in embedded is starting to loose ground, as x86, ARM and SPARC make inroads. Apple's abandonment of the PowerPC has soured it in the eyes of developers. It's not going to die, but it will never again be as strong as it once was.
