I got myself a USB printer. It should speak PCL6 as well as
postscript, so I think it should be possible to print with it on MOS.

I set up usbparallel.device in mos printer prefs, and this seems to
have some effect, because sending files to prt: now prints some
garbage.

Is there anyone who had any sort of success with a USB printer? I'd
preferrably like to print with PageStream, but even being able to send
out some text file would be great. Or postscript output. Or anything.
Is there some PCL6 driver with mos 1.4.5? Which one? How does one then
print anything with it, is sending stuff to prt: the correct way?

Ok, now it seems to work perfectly, it also prints with Apdf which is
definitely extremely nice.

What I did was editing mossys:devs/dosdrivers/PAR
I only changed parallel.device to usbparallel.device. Now any
postscript sent there prints nicely. I also copied the relevant .ppd
file from my windows install cds, for PageStream.. luckily I did not
throw them away instantly.

You should upgrade to latest Tprint.
Somewhere here in the forum there is a guide.
Does cure a lot off printing problems.
My pagestream wouldn't print right before updating.
Try printing in higher res now(720 dpi).
I have a usb epson stylus color 680 and pagestream,amigawriter,fxpaint,yam all print well now.
Still some programs still give issues like simplemail which only prints one line on a page.
And the Janoeditor doesn't print.
But still very usable.
